Feelings of R&B is a skateboard deck series that is focused on highlighting the origins and the feelings of the Rhythm & Blues (R&B) genre. For these boards the focus became finding songs that fit into the R&B category from some of the legends we know. Names like Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, The Temptations and more came to mind. 

The two boards of this series are focused on Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. I chose to highlight a line of lyrics that stuck out to me from one of their songs, “Lovers Keep On Lovin” and “Just An Old Sweet Song”. These songs “Georgia on My Mind” and “Higher Ground” evoke the two sides of R&B, the rhythmic moods and the smooth blues. The connection that was created was to highlight the creative ways the piano was articulated in sound and tempo.
